The Theme of Our Program

This China study program is sponsored by College of Business & Technology, Northeastern State University (NSU) of Oklahoma, and it has two parts: Student Sessions and Beijing Scholar Forum.  Student sessions are offered as a field experience/study abroad program with an additional option of 3-6 credit hours for summer term 2008.  Beijing Scholar Forum is provided as a symposium for scholars and practitioners to share ideas and/or research findings in their field.  Participants of both student sessions and Beijing Scholar Forum will receive cross-culture business education through guest lectures and visits to business firms, universities, and sites of cultural significance in Beijing, Shanghai, and Qingdao in China.  The participants of student sessions will also provide an onsite assistance to Team-USA’s operations for Beijing Olympic Games; the participants of Beijing Scholar Forum will have the networking opportunity with one another as well as the people in our host institutions/organizations involved in the program.  Students or professionals in the field of business, education, social sciences, Chinese language/study, and/or sport/athletic administration/coaching are encouraged to apply or participate.  Any topic in either or combined fields above with a theoretical framework or paradigm, and specifically related to China in practical application is appropriate and welcome for Beijing Scholar Forum.
